I would firstly like to offer a warm welcome to you for visiting our site.

The Order was originally named Templar Knights Of Chibburn Priory Militum Christi (Soldiers Of Christ) whereby it was a revived an Order of Poor Fellow Soldiers Of Christ And The Temple Of Solomon, a.k.a Knights Templars by the 1st Grand Master George Chambers, which is a Non Masonic Templar Order originally in Northumberland  after more than 700 years, in a ceremony held in Germany whereby it was chartered.

George Chambers resigned from the position of Grand Master in August of 2019, and was going to remain part of the Order, that was until it was revealed that he had returned to heretical membership of an Occult Organisation similarly styled on a degree structure to the Freemasons and returned to Paganism (which he openly and freely admitted was sentenced to be excommunicated and Dishonorabley Discharged from ever being a Templar again.

 

So do not be fooled by an Orders page bearing the name The Original Order Of Templar Knights Of Chibburn Priory started in September of 2019,for it is nothing to do with the revived Order that was Chartered in Germany. Nor does the Sub Group Of The Freemasons lodge of a similar name to our Order, based in Whitby in the County Of Northumberland.

I was nominated and was elected by the membership unopposed and remain Grand Master Of the Order, and changed it from a Dictatorial Order to a more democratic one that all Grand Officers of the Order have a seat on the Grand Magistral (Sovereign Counsel) whom majority of the time, vote on important issues, and in the event of a tie, I have the casting vote. Very occasionally I will make a Grand Masters Decree.

This is replicated throughout our Grand Priories, except other than the Grand Prior or Grand Prioress ( unless a member as a secondary position that warrants them a seat on the Grand Counsel. The other other Priory Officers are invited to a lower Council.

Our Order runs on the ideals and principles of the Original founding Knights of the Templars ( which will be covered on another part of the site) as near that modern society dictates the practically of.

We have undergone changes of the name along the way that has been either beneficial or the current one that meets not only reflects the Order today, but for years to come. Due to the fact that the number of females are already members (and more hold positions of either Priory Officers or Grand Officers within the Order) and hopefully more will join we are now called The Templar Order of Chibburn Priory (United Grand Priories).

And we are a registered International NGO by Limited Liability with Companies House, and His Majesty's Revenue And Customs, and are in the Process Of Registering with the Charities Commission as an International Charity in the UK. We also have a Registered Charity in Nigeria, called Mafeng, and will be registering with the appropriate authorities in all countries where we have or will have Grand Priories in the future.
